Terms of Service

Last revised October 7, 2026

These terms apply to your use of switchhorizon.com (“Switch Horizon”, “we”), operated by Jonkai Ventures OÜ, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia (registry code 17322110). By using the site you agree to them.

1. What Switch Horizon is

Switch Horizon is a research tool. It ranks countries by combining public statistics (mainly from the World Bank) with the priorities you set. We also offer optional paid reports and an AI research assistant.

Scores are relative comparisons between the countries we cover. They do not assess your personal eligibility to live, work or study anywhere.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing on Switch Horizon is legal, tax, financial, immigration or medical advice. Visa, residency and tax rules depend on your circumstances and change often. Always check official government sources or consult a qualified professional before you make decisions.

Statistics may be incomplete, outdated or revised by their publishers. AI-generated content (the assistant and report summaries) can be inaccurate and is labelled as such.

3. Accounts

You don't need an account for the free assessment. To buy or keep reports you need one. Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity on your account.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

4. Packages, payment and delivery

Report packages are one-time purchases. They are not subscriptions. Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable; Stripe may display the price in your local currency at checkout.

Orders are processed by Stripe acting as merchant of record (reseller) under its “Sold through Link” service (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company). Stripe is the seller of record for the transaction and is responsible for payment processing, the calculation and collection of sales tax and VAT, receipts and invoices, and transaction-level customer support. Your card statement shows LINK.COM followed by our name. Jonkai Ventures OÜ provides the Switch Horizon product and is responsible for it.

A package gives you report credits. Each report you create uses one credit, except with the Unlimited package. Credits don't expire. Paying customers also get access to the AI assistant, subject to a fair-use limit shown in the app.

Your credits are added to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.

5. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Refund policy: you get a full refund within 14 days of purchase if no report has been created with that purchase. You can request it from your dashboard or by emailing info@switchhorizon.com. When a purchase is refunded, its unused credits are removed. A purchase with which a report has been created is not refundable under this policy.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, you can only buy after expressly agreeing that delivery starts right away and acknowledging that you then lose this right once delivery has begun. We ask for this consent at checkout and record it. Our refund policy above applies in addition.

Stripe, as merchant of record, may also handle refund requests and disputes about the transaction under its own terms. None of this affects your statutory rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no automated scraping that degrades the site, no attempts to bypass usage limits or access other users' data, and no use of the AI assistant for unlawful purposes.

Country data is published by the World Bank under CC BY 4.0. You may reuse it under that licence. Our site design, text and code remain ours.

7. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care but can't guarantee it will be error-free or always available. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the information provided.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence or under mandatory consumer protection law.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The revision date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Purchases are governed by the terms in force at the time of purchase.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. EU consumers can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
